Beautiful Leader Educational Center

The Ari Leadership Center manages our university’s exclusive leadership education program. This program, based on our university’s guiding educational philosophy of Brightening One Corner, was launched in the fall semester of 2003 to foster "Beautiful Leaders" for the 21st century. The major courses operated through this center include Ari 1, Ari 2, Global Ari and Ari World Tour.

The Ari 1 course encourages students to explore and understand themselves, changes them to have a self-empowered proactive life, shows them how to set a clear vision for their lives and motivates them to live a passionate life. The class is student-centered where there is a dynamic interaction with the faculty – students, and where cooperative learning is facilitated.

The Ari 2 course is a program in which students can define a personal "Image of Beautiful Leadership" through observation of themselves and the world, and then to create changes in themselves and their personal relationships through small changes in their action-orientation to the world. Each class has a 15-student class size and is conducted with personal projects, group conversations, personal advising, conversations on readings and video materials.

The Global Ari course was established in 2006 and is opened every fall semester. This course allows the students to explore and learn the missions and visions of global enterprises and universities, the characteristics and values of a global leader, cultivate the ability and behavior to communicate with the world based on the understanding on diversity of world culture, art and history. After selecting approximately 20 outstanding students through English interview and writing test, the class is delivered 100% in English lectures and presentations with diverse themes related to Global Leadership. During the winter intersession, a 2-week field trip is taken to California to visit and have workshops with global universities, NGOs and enterprises, and global leaders.

The Ari World Tour course is a team project program, which was launched in 2004 for the students of Anyang University, and allows students to experience different cultures around the world to cultivate an open and global mind, and develop talent and knowledge as beautiful leaders. The Ari World Tour program in which a group of 3~4 students visit a specific country, allows these students to develop and implement planned projects and experience knowledge and learning working in their selected field. This program, requiring self-direction and cooperative team work, starts with project preparation, execution and reporting of the results of the experience. Every year approximately 50 teams apply for the program and through assessment on their project plan and presentation, 8 teams are finally selected. To assist teams in effective preparation and execution of their projects, the “Ari World Tour" course was launched in 2008.
