The aim of this institute is to study the institutions, policies and administration of social welfare and related matters, and to contribute toward the promotion of national welfare, social development and the realization of a welfare state through research activities. To achieve this goal, the institute conducts various studies and projects on welfare and associated topics, holding symposiums, seminars and special lectures in addition to publishing periodical research reports, conducting academic exchanges with other similar research institutions at home and abroad, and guiding students in their own academic work.
