Following the transition period from civilization to information society, it is now the era of the fourth industrial revolution. The information society was a knowledge-based society in which knowledge exerted great power. It has evolved from the steam engine to the era of mass production and to the era of computerized automation systems. Now we have entered the era of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) in the fourth industrial revolution. In this time, the role of the university became more important.

Anyang University was established in 1948 and the 70th anniversary of its opening in will be in 2018. Our school has the purpose of educating Beautiful Leaders based on our educational philosophy of Brightening One Corner and the Christian spirit.

At Anyang University, there is a Christian spirit of love, justice, and peace. We are opening up the future through a cooperative spirit of 100 taking 1 step over 1 taking 100 steps. In addition, through the development of the Brightening Once Corner movement, we will change people, change Korean society, and further develop students who will change the world.

The Beautiful Leader that Anyang University is fostering is one who respects nature and all people, love others as one does oneself, and is wise, intelligent, virtuous, caring and pursues peace.
